What You Need to Know

Answering your questions is what we here at Graves Ink live for. Remember that there’s no such thing as a bad question, and that we’ve heard just about everything. For your convenience, we’ve compiled a list of questions we often receive from our customers, but if there’s something we’ve missed, don’t hesitate to reach out.

DO YOU NEED TO MAKE A DEPOSIT FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND IS IT REFUNDABLE?

Yes, we require (amount depends on artist) a deposit to book your tattoo appointment. Deposits are nonrefundable and go towards the cost of the tattoo. If you are a no show, you will lose that deposit. If you need to reschedule, we require 72 hours' notice. You may change the date of your appointment with no need to put down another deposit as long as it is within that 72-hour window. Anything less you will need to put down another deposit.

DO YOU CHARGE FOR A CONSULTATION?

No. Consultations are free of charge. We will give you a 30-minute window to discuss your ideas and give you recommendations. If you are happy with the idea, we can then book an appointment to tattoo.

CAN MY FRIENDS, FAMILY AND KIDS COME TO MY TATTOO APPOINTMENT?

We ask that you only bring one friend or family member. The more people the bigger the distraction for our artist as well as you. As well as the longer and more costly the tattoo could end up being. And we do not allow anyone under 16 years of age.

DO YOU SELL ALL THE AFTERCARE PRODUCTS I’LL NEED?

We do not but we can recommend great products to use. The process we use is the wrap method using wrap that is used is burn units. After the process all you'll need to do is take great care of your tattoo. Clean it gently after the wrap comes off.  And make sure to moisturize and use sunscreen.

I WANT A TATTOO BUT I’M ON A LIMITED BUDGET. HOW DO YOU DETERMINE PRICING?

Our pricing is based on the size of the tattoo and amount of time to tattoo. You can set up a free consultation with one of our artists and they will be able to give you an Estimate on the tattoo you'd like to get. 

DO YOU ALSO TATTOO IN COLOR OR DIFFERENT STYLES?

We can do color or black and grey. Our artist specialize in array of tattoo styles. Such as freehand, traditional to photo realism and beyond. We will work with you to make a tattoo that will last and you'll be proud to show off.

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY TATTOO APPOINTMENT?

Make sure to drink plenty of water starting a few days prior to your appointment. Try and refrain from drinking alcohol the night before. Make sure to eat a high carb meal the night prior. Bring snacks and food with you to your appointment, as well as headphones. Also make sure to be moisturizing the skin especially the area to be tattooed.

DO YOU ACCEPT JUST CASH FOR PAYMENT?

We accept cash or any major credit card.

DO YOU SELL ALL THE AFTERCARE PRODUCTS I’LL NEED?

We do have some aftercare items at the shop we will send you home with. And we can recommend some amazing products.

I WANT A TATTOO BUT I’M ON A LIMITED BUDGET. HOW DO YOU DETERMINE PRICING?

This is where a Consultation is your best bet. You can go over your idea and get a good rough estimate of the cost of the tattoo you truly want to get. And then plan for it for the future if need be.

THE ARTIST ISN'T ANSWERING ALL MY TEXT, EMAILS AND DM'S?

Please keep in mind the artists have other customers as well and might be tattooing. They all also have days off and families when they leave work, much like you do. If you truly are in desperate need of speaking with the artist, call the shop and we can help you out. But please remember the artist are people with lives and families outside of the studio.
